Should I take a business class first then go abroad

I'm a designer, going to have my own line, and one day open up a boutique store. I'm going abroad to do fashion for 4 months, then coming back to get right into the business of selling my designs. I'm wondering though, should I take Small Business Ownership and Management class now or wait until I get back from abroad?

You are entering a highly competitive market. In addition to knowing design you need to understand, among other things, purchasing, manufacturing, budgeting, bookkeeping, marketing, merchandising and pricing. You will not learn that in a 4 month course or the occasional business class. Most people in your business do not become successful. The more you learn and know the better your chance of being one of the few that makes it. Get all the educatio you can!
