Question:

Should I take swimming lessons over the summer?

My friend wants me to take lessons with her this summer and I guess I want to... Problem is, I really suck at swimming; I can't even finish 25 meters without completely running out of breath and flailing around like a maniac (yes, pathetic I know). And after "finishing" the 25 meters I feel COMPLETELY worn out... Even people who aren't on the swim team or don't take swimming lessons can do it... just not me for some reason.. heh. I'm kinda skinny, tho I don't think weight has anything to do with it. Plus I know how to float and at least not drown in the water, it's just that I'm completely incompetent at swimming "for real". Is it possible for me to improve over the summer if I start taking lessons? Is it too late to start? I'm going into my sophomore year. Any advice/tips would be loved :)

  1. are the lessons in price rang for you

are they private of group ... because if they are group thet will put you with ppl are the same levle

and last swimming is one of those things that the first 100 yds are killers but after that it is fine

  2. that sounds interesting. if i were you, uhm i'll take the opportunity. maybe in the end, you might find loving it.

    have fun >_<

  3. well you should give it a shot,!!

  4. It sounds fun, I would do it if I were you. You have a friend who's willing to learn with you and working at it over the summer should improve your ability. It's not too late for you to start, my Aunt didn't learn till she was 32. I hope you have fun!
