Question:

Should I take the H&R tax course?

I am thinking about taking the H&R block course but I haven't decided yet. I work odd hours and rotating shifts, and was hoping that I could get a second job with them after the course. I was wondering if they are flexible with the hours, and if it is worth the $200 to take the course?

  1. I am considering taking this course myself , so...I am very interested in the answers you will receieve. I did like the advice the person gave you about taking the pay and not a percentage at the end of the tax season. Sounds like good reasoning./.

  2. Why not?!  You'll pick up some extra $, and $200 insn't bad for an education in tax prep.  You could work during their high season when the offices have extended hrs -- that might work out with your schedule as well.  I checked online and I think you might find it's not a bad idea to pursue this.

  3. yes

  4. Hello There!

I have taken the H&R Block Course, and the course with Liberty Tax.

Believe it or not, the Liberty Tax Course is much better.  It really is!  It covers so much more, you wouldn't believe it!

And any tax course is well worth the very small investment.  Anybody who went through the courses with me all agree, learning anything about the Tax Code is a real eye opening experience and helps you guide your own financial spending.  You would be shocked at what you learn about just how to live your life, plan for your future and save money that can be put aside without paying taxes on it.

Take any course you can!  You will not be wasting your time or your money.

And most likely you will be hired at some point during tax season to earn some extra money.  The pay is not the greatest, so make sure you are perfectly clear on exactly how much you will be paid.  And don't go for the "plan" with a percentage at the end of the tax season.
