Should I take the SAT or the ACT again?

I'm going to be a senior in high school.

And I'm going to take the SAT or the ACT again, but I want to just pick one and just focus on that one.

I didn't do very well on both tests. I took the SAT prep class

First time I got

Critical Reading 420

Math 650

Writing 380

Second time (I didn't prepare that much)

Critical Reading 410

Math 570

Writing 420

And I took the ACT without preparation (I just did 1 practice test without timing myself)

I only got a 20 but its like very close to my SAT score.

So right now I'm not sure which i should take it again, can anyone give me some suggestion?

  1. I think your scores show you could easily improve by taking the test again. There has been enough variation between your scores that I think you can improve a bit.

  2. A score would of been nice. But the answer is yes. You should take the tests several times. I took ACT twice and SAT once. But first find a score you want to aim for. In Florida as long as you have a 3.0gpa and score above a 20 on ACT you get a 75% scholarship. So my goal was only a 20.

The better you score the greater chance you have of getting into a school and getting a scholarship.

There is usually many perks for achieving a high ACT/SAT.

Ooops. It didnt have details at first. It just a personal preference. Some people hated the SAT but enjoyed the ACT and vise-versa. So with your highest score, non including writing you have a 970 and a 20act. There's not really that great of a difference. at $40 a test compared to $20. That may be a factor. I enjoyed the ACT environment over the SAT. And felt more comfortable taking the ACT.

So which did you like  better?

  3. Well... What did you get on the test. A+ no A no A- No B+ no B yes!
