Well I took the ACT+ writing my junior year, and I want to take the SAT(for the first time on my senior year). What test should I take to get a better score on my senior year? Is the SAT questions different from the ACT'S? Which test would you recommend I take?

  1. If you did well on your ACT, and you're feeling confident on taking the SAT then you should go for it. BUT you should always study hard and sleep a lot and eat a good breakfast on the day you take it. Don't be stressed to much.

  2. I will be taking both again... but Idk. I guess ACT is easier.. especially because guessing on the questions you don't know benefit you.

I only got a 22 on the ACT the first time, but I am now preparing. Use the guide down bottom to help you.

  3. You should take the SAT, so you will have the benefit of both scores available to college recruiters. It can't hurt!

However, there are some schools who no longer use the ACT or SAT scores as the determining factor for getting into college. FairTest.org (the link is below) has a list of schools that are going this route (nearly 740 four-year colleges). I have corresponded with Professor Don Orlich (professor emeritus in math at WA State University, aka WASU) and he was the one who first informed me of this, before FairTest.org had their list created!

Take a look at this list (in fact, I know a couple of schools have since removed their ACT/SAT requirements that may not be on this list) and find out if one of the schools you want to go to is on it. May save you time and worry.

    Good luck!!

  4. personally, i would take the ACTs. they are actually much easier than the SATs, but colleges are starting to look at the ACTs just as well as the SATs. some colleges actually look more at the ACTs than the SATs.
