Question:

Should I take the chance of damaging a friendship by telling my feelings?

I have a friend that confides in me about everything in her life. We go out to dinner, we talk everyday on the phone, we hang out on weekends and do all the things a couple would do if dating. The only thing is she sees me as her best friend. She dates other men and calls me about the date afterwards. I would like to take things to another level with her because we are already best friends and we know each other so well. I know we would be great in a relationship but I would be risking damaging the friendship if she doesn't see things as I do. She may no longer confide in me as her best friend if she knows I am interested in a more romantic way towards her. Is it worth the risk?

  1. Just wait awhile.  It can really ruin a friendship.  If you haven't noticed yet being bestfriends is like a relationship.   If things happen let her do it.  I would say give it 3 monthes and if she doesn't do anything make a move.

  2. Yes & no. Yes, because life's too short.

No. because friendship is a beautiful treasure in spite of the 80s movie When Harry Met Sally.
