Should I take the job

I am 16 and volunteer at a shelter. Most volunteers help sell about 2 cats a month, while I in 4th months have probably helped move out about 20-30 cats. Well normally they (the shelter) don't take people under 16 but because they need extra help they will take me at 16. The pay is around 7-8 an hour I would be working from 12-6 on Saturdays and 12-4 on sundays and then come in any other time I feel like. They want a response from me in 3 weeks. The problem is school is starting up and I am taking all honor classes including 1 ap class and am I afraid that I won't have time for homework on weekends. My parents don't care one way or another. Basically I would be doing the exact same things I do when I volunteer but get paid for it. Should I go for it?

  1. You are so lucky.  I would love to have a job like that.  I would definitely take it if I were you.

  2. Heck yeah! do it! I wish I could! Thats like my dream job! I am 16, and I cant not find a job for my life!!!!

  3. If you're still going to volunteer on the weekends then I would take it. Your weekends aren't for school any way. What's wrong with you? haha. I did all honors and AP classes my senior year and worked a 30-hour week job and did fine so I am sure you will be more than fine.

  4. Go for it and try it out! If you start to fall behind in school then just go back to volunteering. It's great that you're volunteering at the shelter!! Hope I helped:):)
