I work in a bank, I think one of my co-workers stole a plastic piggy bank that we give to customers who open an account, should I keep my mouth shut, or should I tell a supervisor, it is not like we have a shortage of these things, someone told me just keep my mouth shut because people will think I am a fink for ratting her out, she has been a long time employee and everyone loves her, so should I keep my mouth shut or should I mention it to someone,

  1. You should not tell on her.  It is a plastic piggy bank for god sake...now like money is a different story.  No one likes a tattle tail!

  2. if it's not the bank's money don't make everyone look at you as being jealous of her.

  3. Taking something with out permission is obviously wrong. And since it isn't a costly item I would probably not say anything to a supervisor but I would definitely keep it in mind if something like that happened again. Being a manager I probly could careless if someone took a bulk item that would'nt even be noticed if one went missing, but if it kept happening on a regular basis then by all means I would want to know.

  4. A plastic piggy?  Yeah, you'd look like a brown-nosing fink if you ratted.  No money is another matter, but a frickin' plastic piggy?  You need to get out more...

  5. I think you should just let it be. Whatever happened might not have happened at all; you just THINK you saw her do it. First make sure your assumption is right. Maybe ask a friend if they saw it too.

  6. Let it play itself out.  It's not like she's embezzling or something.  Sometimes these petty things are best left alone...they're not worth the trouble they cause.
