Hello,

I work at a small plant that produces food products. I have been there for 4 years. I also have Asperger Syndrome but haven't disclosed this to my employer.

I am encountering some problems on the job and am worried about getting fired.

Would it be prudent for me to tell them, "If I disclose my disability to you, you might get a tax break." Or would that be stupid?

What do you advise?

  1. I am unaware of any tax breaks your employer could get because of hiring an employee that has Aspergers.  If your condition affects your job performance, which it sounds like it does, you need to go to human resources and tell them the situation.  They will find ways to accomodate your responsibilities in light of your condition.  Please tell them so you are not let go with all the facts being known.

    Good Luck and God Bless.
