Should I tell my friend or not?

My best friend Kat and I are part of this club. Kat became the "Mayor" of that club because she was the vice mayor last year and because she's good friends with the Emily, the girl who picks who gets what positions. However, I heard Emily telling to Eva, the new vice mayor, that she's going to be doing a lot of Kat's work (because Kat has a lot more schoolwork than them) and that they are essentially going to be co-Mayors. Pretty much, now all the club's officials (except for my bff Kat) know that Eva and Kat are underhandedly co-Mayors. Should I tell Kat so that she can try to work harder so that Eva isn't doing that much work and so that she's not the joke of the club, or should I just stay out of it?

I think that maybe you should stay out of it.  With bad news like this, your friend may resent you.  Ever hear of the phrase "don't shoot the messenger!"?  That applies!

If you really feel bad, then go to your friend and say  "Hey, I heard Emily telling Eva that she thinks that the two of them may have to help you out with some of your work if you're too busy...is there any way I can help you to do your best in the club so you can hold your position better?"

you should deffinitly tell her. she will find out somehow. either she will be really mad that you didn't tell her our proud to have a great best friend

i would tell her. i know if i was kat, i would want to know. also she is your best friend, dont' keep things like that from her.

I would tell Kat, as a friend, I think you owe her that much. But just one question though, if Kat is the mayor of the club, what position is Emily in, if Kat has the highest position?
