Question:

Should I throw away old used clothes?

I have old used clothes and don't know if I should just throw them away. Some are faded, some have holes, some missing buttons, some old elastic. Is there someone somewhere who will take these kind of donations or should I just throw them away? I know Salvation Army and Goodwill are pretty picky and won't take clothes like this.

  1. I always will find someonne who wil take them.  In fact we only wear second hand clothes and sneakers  from head to toe. Nothing ever goes to waste. I have alway been proud to wear something once owned by a friend or coworker. I know we always take old clothes from people and if they do not fit us, then we pass them on to people that can use them but never throw them away! Try and find somebody who will take them . I love wearing holy clothes around the house or garden and I am sure others do too! Ask around and if you still cannot find someone to take them, drop me an email. If they fit us, perhaps we can take them off your hands or know of someone who will. When it all goes to the landfil nobody ever benefits! :)

If you have any questions feel free to email me. :)

  2. All churches will take them. Drive down in your area homeless shelters or streets with homeless people migrate. I know in California they have sites for homeless people. Lately, I've been seeing clothing bins to place used clothes. If you want you could dye some of those clothes. Some 1.00 stores have dye. You could place some iron-on where the holes are and add decorations if your finances allows it. Hope this helps.

  3. You see them every time you open the closet: clothes that haven’t left their hangers in years, shoes that felt perfect in the store but caused blisters on their first (and last) trip out of the house, not to mention the dozens of accessories that you wore long before disco was dead.

But what do you actually do with that Mount Everest of clothes you’re ready to get rid of? Donate them to a charity, try your hand at selling them, or swap them for something that will see the light of day.

  4. If you wouldn't wear them, don't give them to people.

  5. you might want to try donating them to a church. They might patch the holes and sew on the buttons in order to give to the needy in the community.

  6. yes what are all these beggers for give it to them

Or make puppets out of them; use the extras as stuffing. No kidding.
