Ive been cleaning my house and found these old records from the 70's and 80's. They're useless to me as i dont have a record player. Are they worth keeping?

  1. NO!!!! SEND THEM TO ME!!!!

Please don't chuck them, even if you sell them it would be better.

  2. No, sell them as a lot on ebay.

  3. I'd keep them.

  4. Trade them for dope man!

  5. It's up to you if you want to keep them. If you really like the music, it may be worth some time to see if you can get the albums on CD or MP3s.

If you do decide to give them away, please do not just throw them out! Here are some options to pass them on to people who could use them:

    1. Sell them to a record/tape/CD-trader store. You won't get a ton of money, but you'd earn more than if you just threw them away!

    2. Sell them (or put them under "free stuff") on CraigsList.com.

    3. Donate them to a thrift shop. (And get a receipt for your taxes.)

There has been a big resurgence of vinyl lovers in recent years. It may take a little extra effort, but you'll be keeping them out of a landfill, and making a record-lover (or two) very happy!

  6. They aren't worth much money, but if you like the music, you may find that it's difficult/expensive to re-buy the music on CD or digitally.  They sell record players for pretty cheap that are used to burn vinyl music onto CD, or even onto your hard drive.  You can find perfectly fine turntables at yard sales for $5.

So, keep them if you like the music.  Otherwise, they are taking up a lot of space.
