Should I trade Brian Roberts for Robinson Cano and Ryan Doumit?

Someone offered me Robinson Cano and Ryan Doumit for Brian Roberts.

The catchers currently on my team are AJ Pierzynski and Victor Martinez (DL). I have no other 2b. The rest of my roster is:

Morneau, A Rod, Orlando Cabrera, Carl Crawford, Ankiel, Cody Ross, Evan Longoria, Carlos Guillen, Damon (DL), Mark Reynolds, and Alfonso Soriano.

What do you think?

  1. Stay with Roberts. It's hard finding a decent 2nd baseman, and I'm sure even Pedroia is taken in your league. He'll hit for a good average, obviously help out your stolen bases, and will score a good amount of runs with his speed. Cano is good, and yes he usually is a late starter, but he just hasn't proven himself in my league. As far as 2nd basemen go, Roberts is great in 5x5 leagues compared to Cano.

However, if this was a keeper league you're in, I would consider getting Cano, depending on whether or not you need speed.

  2. I have Doumit on my roster and hes awesome!?!  Very underrated. I liek that deal because Cano has nowhere to go but up!

  3. Keep Roberts. The guy is heating up and will steal plenty of bags after the break.
