  1. Absolutely, yes. Byrnes is having a down year, there are more productive options to place in the most fruitful spots in the Diamondback lineup; on the other hand Figgins has no such scenario playing out, and will produce for a contender that needs him to

  2. I actually Just made this exact deal in my league...I got Byrnes and gave up Figgins.  I believe its a fair trade, but it depends on what you have in the OF and what you will have left at 3B.

The owner I traded with neede 3B help bad and I needed OF.  We both had depth at the respective postions so it made sense.  Byrnes always has big years after the AS Break, and figgins has hammy problems which will hamper his speed.

He WONT be stealing that many bases with a bum hammy, thats why I traded him...Byrnes will hit home runs still with his problems.

  3. depends on your needs, figgins doesn't get too many hr or rbi but he does has a good average and OBP.  Byrnes has been on a slump this year but he is on a good team that produces many run chances.  I say don't do the trade because i believe byrnes will come around, but it all has to do with your needs.

  4. Is a frog's butt watertight?

Make the deal. Byrnes is doing nothing.

    Speed shows up every day.

  5. The only thing that made Eric Byrnes different from about 20-25 other outfielders was his speed.  Over the year his 20+ steals was a benefit.  Now that he is hurt, it is doubtful that he can get as many steals as he may have last year.

Byrnes is a fun player to watch, but those that compete with the same reckless style age very quickly.  I would much rather have Chone Figgins batting lead-off in the Angels lineup stealing bases and scoring runs for me.

I would make the trade to get Figgins.

  6. definitely, Chone is the better player, then you throw in the fact he is eligible at one of the weakest positions in the fantasy (2nd base) makes him that much better
