Should I train in light or heavy shoes?

i'm about to get serious about training for xc and track so i was wondering if i should train in light or heavy shoes and which would give me a better performance in the long run.

  1. You should train in the shoes you're going to race in, otherwise you're just asking for blisters and that won't help anything.

  5. You should train with heavier shoes increases heart rate for more fitness because you are struggling more.

    Tennis and soccer players wear weights on the ankles and when they take them of it makes you more efficient and faster.
