I want to transfer to private school, but I just don't see myself there when I shadowed. I really want to go there, but I think my gut tells me to stay in the huge, public high school I'm at (part of the reason I think being friends). Help!!

  1. I was like you in the first semester of college; no confidence and feel so obscure where to transfer.

Now I know I have to go to top private school in the U.S. why? I want to set high standards for myself. High standards = great outcomes. Easy way = wack wack (lol).

Public school and private school. I would have to know which schools on particular then I compare their rigor of academic program and ranking through USNews.

You have to go to their website and read read and read....(Im not kidding). you will be inspired by the research opportunities and organizations that will recruit on campus.

if you want to know something, you have to seek the information from a credible resource (their official website). If you prefer the easy way by just asking people around about the schools, you have little chance to get to know the school very well.

I would suggest that you have 10 schools in your list then narrow down to 6 or 7 after you get to know them all. Apply to all. After accepted, choose one and that would be a critical time. Now everything is so obscure.

    Good luck

  2. Transferring to a smaller school will limit the number of people you will meet. If you like your school, why change? Go with the school where you are most comfortable.

  3. If you didn't feel right at the private school, then your gut is probably right. There's no point forcing yourself to go to a school where you don't feel comfortable in. Especially when you are paying money for it.
