I am a 22 yr old female. I am living with my (older) partner who I've been with for abour 6 months. I have been working for 2 years after finishing a 3 year degree before getting this job. I really want to travel for a year or two, and my question is, should I wait until the end of next year, or go at the end of this year? My one main reason for putting it off for a year is my partner - he has already done the OE thing and he isn't sure if he will come with me when I do mine. So, should I wait for a year and spend it with him cementing our relationship, or should I go at the end of this year regardless?

  1. Like the others, I think you should go and i also think he should come with you even if he have done it before.

I was in the same situation as you, my girlfriend a bit older then me, done it before, but she  agreed to do it one more time with me.

And in a relationship if you leave for 1 or 2 years it's not gona change anything to wait and try to cement your relationship or not.

    Good luck for your choice

  2. i think you should go, if he truely cares about you he will understand.  and he should go too. if he is the only reason you are considering to wait...GO!!! hope this helps

  3. I would say go now.  You shouldn't have any problems keeping in touch with the internet and modern advances in telecommunications.  If you put it off the decision to be separated from your partner won't be any easier next year and you may find your self putting it off for another year and another after that.  Taking the time to travel and see the world is a wonderful experience and if your love be true then it will still be there waiting when you return.
