Should I trust my brother?

Should i trust my brother? he's going somewhere that's 1 hr. away, and he goes in a bus. but idk if i should trust him with my new ipod or not. he says he gets bored, and hes begging me i have a silicone case for it, but they're soo skinny! will the screen get scratched if he keeps it in his backpack? Thanks. Best answer rewarded!

NO.  

If he can't get his own ipod, how will he replace yours if he breaks it or it gets stolen or lost or damaged?  

You seem to care about this ipod.  Don't put your relationship with your brother at risk by setting up a situation in which something could happen that he could not fix.  

It's easier to set boundaries and not lend it than it is to get over some damage that happened to it in his care.

Make your brother give you something of value of his. Like in school if we want something we have to let them borrow it so we will have to give the item back. If he scratches it make him pay to get it fixed.
