I went to the dr last week over my breast itching me (I do not have a rash ) he sent me home with a cream for dry skin , and told me to call him if any changes , I had to call him today b because the cream hasn't help and I told him that I would like to be seen again and tested for IBC and He told me not to worry because i most definitely don't have ibc because he has personally seen IBC on two of his patients , after hearing him say that , it has ease my mind a little but then again the other part of me is wondering if I should see another dr and start to worry all over again ? just like to get some opinion .thanks

  1. You are always free to get another opinion and I urge you to do so. After all you have to live in your body and it's no fun when you feel irritated.

  2. Just my personal opinion...the majority of the medical community is tired of dealing with the "walking well" and overlooks many of our complaints.  I don't generally trust any doctor to tell me what is wrong with me.  I research first, ask questions second.  Generally when my children, my husband, or myself goes to the doctor I have accurately diagnosed it first.  If you feel uncomfortable with his opinion then you should first tell him so and then find yourself another doctor.  These doctors are not God's, they are not the end all be all...they are regular people and oftentimes need to be reminded of the same.  Don't let this doctor tell you that you don't have IBC just because he has seen it before.  Not every person has the same symptoms.  You know your body better than anyone else does and if you believe you are suffering from something, IBS or not, you have the right to be seen, heard, and treated.  Don't stop here...tell your doctor he is fired and find a new one!
