Question:

Should I trust the weather forecast, it says it's going to storm the whole week I'm going to the beach

I'm going to Myrtle Beach the week of July 4 and it says on the weather sites that it will rain and storm the entire week. Should I believe that and reschedule my vacation or is there a chance some of the days will be fair? I can't stand the thought of going to the beach and spending the whole time holed up in a hotel room. Is there a good chance some days or some parts of the day will be clear? Thanks

  1. Forecasting that far ahead is very changable, depending on the source of this forecast, yes and no, the best reliable forecast comes from your local National Weatner Service and can be accessed through NOAA Weather Radio. The Weather Channel gets their weather that you see on the 8s of every hour from Weather Underground and most of the time is not very accurate.

  2. If it would rain for an entire week, I'd go buy an ark.

  3. What I suspect is that there will be a chance for rain each day in association with the sea breeze front.  It won't rain all day, but more likely just for a short time in the afternoon as the front passes across.  The majority of each of the days will likely be pretty sunny.  The pattern I am seeing right now does not favor a general rainy time.

  4. The weather always changes. That really sucks though. If I were you I would rescheduale for something just as good. If the weather is fair fair....then that sucks. Sue the weather forecaster.
