i'm 14 and i have tennis try outs tomorrow for my high school. i really want to play tennis but i have no experience. i've been thinking about going to the try outs but what if i can't hit the ball and then everyone will laugh at me? my friends keep telling me that i'll do fine because they tell me that i'm good at sports on the first try. but i dont know if that's true...i want to believe them but i dont know. i just want to make the team and practice my best for tournaments and such. but i guess if i want to succeed i need to be more confident. but i know the rules of tennis so it's not like i know nothing about tennis. but i was wondering if it's okay if i just try out anyway.

  1. Go for it. Don't worry about others laughing at you. Try your best and knock them on their ears. Your teammates will help you with your style in the coming weeks. Good luck and happy tennis.

  2. Go for it!

You can only get better by playing more and you should look at this as an opportunity for getting more experience. If you are willing to make the commitment to join the team, I'm sure the coaches will be willing to develop you as a player so you can become a force in the future!

If your worried about what other people will think, your friends are there to watch your back! So don't worry, enjoy the occasion, and maybe it's the start of a wonderful tennis career! :)
