After watching the Olympics, I want to try out for either the swimming or diving team. I am not sure which one to pick.

Any advice???

FYI I am 15, haven't swam competitively since age 9, which was my only year doing it.

  1. No. You were just fail.

  2. If you answer most of these "Yes," then diving might be for you:

    Do you like performing?

Do you like being the center of attention?

    Do you have explosive power?

    Are you a perfectionist?

Do like to learn new things?

Do you enjoy conquering your fears?

Do you not mind if success in your sport is based on judgement calls?

If you answer most of these "Yes," swimming might be for you:

    Do you have good endurance?

Do you have a high tolerance for tedium?

Do you like to race other people?

Do you prefer having a black-and-white measure of success (times vs. judges' scores)?

Check with your coach to see if you have to pick. The divers at my high school would sometimes swim events, too.

  3. try swimming its a good sport you also build muscles

  4. Well if you've done swimming before then I'd try something new so I'd go for diving!

But if your looking for something that will get your really fit and work every part of your body then I'd go for swimming.

  5. swimming

  6. Well you could try out for both and if you make both of them just pick your favorite. Or if you only make one, there you go!

  7. what you like much? do that ;)

  8. If your flexible, maybe diving. If your muscular maybe swimming. :)

  9. Dear swimmer/diver i would sugest that swimming is a bit easier then diving and not that scary but thats me it depends what our heart desire's the most
