Should I tryout for soccer or basketball?

I love basketball and soccer. I'm pretty good at basketball, but soccer's my passion. I just don't know the rules of soccer and I'm afraid that I might make a wrong move during a game or something.

Soccer is an easy game, you don't have to know hard rules. I advice you play with your friends and when you feel comfortable, join in a soccer team.

I'm spanish and I played soccer since I was 8 to 20 and the only thing you need to know is what offside is and when foul is and when foul is not. It's a contact team, you can charge (a little) with your shoulder but you can't kick his/her body or legs or any part. You can't hold (like in football). And it's a strategy sport so you have to decide what your favorite position is: goalkeeper, defense, midfielder, forward.........
