I am short 4"11 and 17 weeks pregnant. I know airbags are dangerous for short people anyways, but then I also have this big belly now. I have to drive myself to my own doctors appointment - since everyone else is working. I want to talk to my husband before I do anything - but I thought I'd better to my research first.

  1. You can't disable the side air bag.

  2. you can turn the driverside airbags off the risky way but to be safe leave them on because you are putting yourself in more risk of injury also wear your seatbelt. You rather be safe than sorry not only for you but for your unborn child

  3. You can't turn off the driver's side air bag.  Those thing only come on the passenger side air bag (if exists).

I think you are overly worried.  The actually rate of injury is very low.  But then again, if you wore your seat belt the air bag doesn't do much (I think it saves something like 50 people out of 1 million accidents in the USA - those who used seat belts).

    Good Luck...

  4. No..................and you wont find anyone that will do it, even if all of the proper paperwork from the government is filled out you still wont find a shop or dealership that will assume this very large liability........
