Should I upgrade my PS3 Harddrive?

I found a place that sells PS3 Hard drive upgrades (besides Ebay!) Should I upgrade my 40GB to a 80GB, 120GB, or a 500GB?

go for the 40 gb wont even use that much but its nice to have the space i dont know why people need 500 gb i cant even use 8 gb

no, whats the point.  you should be happy with what you have now.  there is no reason to upgrade.  its like saying i have a hot girlfriend should i dump her to go out with a hotter girl?

500 gb is really out of the question i mean y would u need that much space and then the 120 seems resonable i have the 60 gb ps3 and i still have 30 gb left free and i have tons of games 18 and i have about 30 music files 8 demos and 4 wallpapers 2 videos

120GB+ is considered the point at whihc an upgrade is worthwile.

however whne youmean youve found a palce that sells PS3 harddrives you are aware it doesnt need to say PS3, it will use any laptop harddrive  (2.5" SATA) so 90% of PC stores will stock a PS3 harddrive, and probs cheaper than a PS3 brnaded one ( soemone was attempting to sell charger cables for £10, when there the same as the ones that came free with my MP3 palyer n digi cam) only the 360 needs to have a 360 branded harddrive.

You have a weird question too :D

If you think 40GB is too small for you, then go ahead. Its your PS3, do what you want. If you have lots of pics, music and movies then upgrading would be a good idea, especially because game data and other downloadable content is getting much bigger (GB size).

When buying a hard drive, it has to be formatted in FAT32 system and must be a 2.5" SATA drive. It should have a good RPM (5000+ hopefully), this will allow the PS3 to read data much faster and make sure you have no lag when starting games from your drive.

depends will you have movies pictures ect or are you planning to have a c**p load of games...well i think 120GB should be enough
