Should I use Avast! Home Edition or F-Secure?

Question

I'm not paying for anti-virus but I could get F-secure off my ISP for free.

Please do not recommend any other anti-virus (eg. AVG)

Please give a reason for your choice.

I tried F-Secure a few years ago and it was great at detecting virus but bad at removing...is it still like that now?

I'm currently using Avast! Home Edition right now.

Try avast home edition version 4.

It is a very effective and free anti-virus program.

Do a boot scan and it will remove all the virus and trojan

on your PC. Even those that hide inside the system restore folder.

System volume information folder is a part of system restore

where trojans love to hide because your Anti-Virus

or Antispyware programs cannot get to them there.

experiences - get rids of 137 virus/trojans in my friend's PC.

It is able to boot up in safe mode and remove virus hidden in system restore folder. This prevent the virus from coming back after restart.
