Should I use Bob Jones or Alpha and Omega, And why? 10 PTS. FOR FIRST GOOD AWNSER!!!!?

I am trying to figure out which cariculem I should use for homeschooling. BOB JONES OR ALPHA AND OMEGA? AND PLZ TELL ME WHY OR ELSE U WONT GET 10 PTS.! HELP ME!

Well, that really depends on you.  They're both good curriculum choices, and both appeal to different types of learners.

My son, between the two, prefers Bob Jones; he currently uses it for English, Handwriting, and Spelling, and will likely use some of their Lit stuff as he gets older.  He thinks that it looks more professionally done and engaging, and it's easier to know where to start and stop for the day.  

(For math he uses VideoText, science is Apologia, and History is TRISMS.  Language Arts isn't his strong point, and he likes the systematic yet interesting approach of BJU.)

We tried LifePacs a couple years ago, and while he liked them for about 3 weeks, he got really bored with them.  However, that's him - I know of other kids that like the achievement of getting through a whole workbook each month.

With AO's Switched on Schoolhouse, there are some subjects I like and some I wouldn't touch.  My son uses their Secondary Spanish right now and is liking it, but I need to add in hands-on and enrichment stuff.  IMO, it's too easy to just read the stuff, answer the questions, and move on - it doesn't make you really *deal* with the information.  If you're willing to go a bit beyond on your own, it's a good curriculum.

My money's on BJU, I just think it's a better product.  The teacher's guides are comprehensive, the text and work is fairly interesting, yet not overwhelming, and it flows well into the next year.

Okay. My friends mom used Bob and liked it. My Mom used A.C.E. on us and I loved it, she also used Abecka and that curriculum is hard but when you are doing 9th grade high school it's like doing freshman in college. I didn't like Alpha Omega. You could also try the online homeschooling through O.R.U. or John Hagee's church. I would say Bob over Alpha because it is recommended by people I know and trust.
