Noo I caught giratina using ultra balls and weakening it dont use the only ball u might have on the whole game just use a strong move and make it very weak and use several ultra ball.

Save in front of giratina just in case if all attempts to capture it fails just keep trying always use a strong pokemon that has false swipe to keep it at one health point/HP.

Just keep using ultra balls or balls that can be used in the dark or caves trust me they work best.
