I had every room in my new house wired for cable tv but should I install a signal booster/amplifier when I don't really see any signal loss. I do not have a HD tv in the house yet but in the future maybe they will all need to be HD tv.

  1. Your question implied 8 Tv sets.  If you don't have 8 devices, I would recommend hooking up only as many rooms as you have devices. Splitting(weakening) the signal 8 times for only 4 sets will only degrade the signal and picture. Just label them for future use and expansion.

If you can get away with no amplifier, and it sounds like you can, do it.  The signal will be cleaner (and you will use less power), If the signal is acceptable on the longest cable run while viewing the weakest station don't use an amp. You can always go get one if needed when you get HD TV.

Keep it simple,       more equipment = more potential for equipment failure

  2. Yes.  8 devices is a lot for the signal to split to from the underground cable.  Split it once, then on the end of each of those, use a booster to feed the other 6 (3 each).

  3. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
