I use bareMinerals make up. Should I use the rev er upper every time I apply my make up, because I think it makes my skin shiny and sort of wet. Is that normal? And does your bareMinerals fly everywhere when you use it? Like does it spill sometimes?

  1. You don't have to use the skin rever upper at all if you don't like it. I know it didn't work for me, but other people love it. You do still want to make sure you use a moisturizer though. And I would recommend a primer all throughout the year, it helps you use less makeup, smooths out your skin surface, and makes makeup stay on longer.

And no, the minerals shouldn't be flying all over the place. If they are- then you're using too much. You just need a tiny little bit in the lid. Then you swirl, tap (tap UP, meaning hold the brush so the hair is facing the sky). The tapping is not to remove extra product, it is to get the minerals inside the brush. There should be a very minimal amount of minerals on the top of your brush, so it really shouldn't be flying anywhere.

  2. Ooh fun question.  I am an expert at all thing B.E.  First off, the Vitamin Skin Rever Upper is more like a serum. This one is intended to deliver vitamins to the skin.  You do NOT have to use it with the makeup.  It's just a freebie and a way to sell that particular product.  I WOULD use the B.E. primer in the summer when it's hot and muggy, though.  So ditch the Rever Upper if you do not like the feel.  And yes, B.E.  flies ALL OVER.  It is an extremly refined power and it cannot be helped.  There IS an awesome brush at Sephora that is a kabuki on one end and you can fill it with the powder at the other end.  You will never have to deal with another mess in your life if you get that brush. Otherwise, dump a tiny amount into the lid and work from there.  Swirl the brush in the powder and tap it off.  You do not want a large amount of powder on the brush as you apply.  You can add more if need be!  Here is that awesome brush!
