Should I visit a far away college?

Would it increase your chance of being accepted if someone who's from the East coast visited a college on the West coast before applying?

its not necessarily going to increase your chances of getting in, but it will give you a better feel for campus life

if you meet up with some of the addmissions counselors, it would def help your chances. sometimes, though, they send reps to your school and that way you dont have to go all the way out to the school to talk to one of their staff members. ask your counselor at school if your school does that. if not, i would check it out if you have the $, time, and are seriously considering it. good luck! have fun!! :o)
