  1. Just come back from NI, it's very beautiful, some nice people but even deader than England.

Went to Southern Ireland a few years back, I liked that a lot.

Think if I were you I'd go to S Ireland. The Irish are really nice people.

  2. Northern Ireland rules we have lots to see and do you can go to Belfast and shop till you drop or or go and see shows at the Odyssey or the grand opera house you can go round are lovely coast and see the giants causeway, sorry going on and yes you would be very welcome :-)

  3. both countries are nice, i have never actually been to nothern ireland which is part of the UK but southern ireland is great, great craic, friendly people etc.  alot of people still think of ireland as pony and carts but its not!  you are definitely guaranteed a good time if thats what you want and of course you will be welcome, there arent just irish people living in ireland!

  4. id say ireland.the irish are very welcoming and friendly.

us over hear down south uk anyway are stressed and to busy for anything.

the irish really are the friendliest people

  5. where are you from?

and remember theres 4 countries in the UK! there England, Scotland, Northern ireland and Wales.

Accents are probably something to think about, im English and get a headache when im with my irish grandparents! lol

Studying abroad can help alot of people, but are you coming on a short visit or permanent study? As costs will change between countries for everything!

Ireland is more generally, scenic, but Scotland has mountains! lol and England certainly has very beautiful scenes aswell, such as the lake district and peak district as more common areas.

Also if you go to the UK, its easier to access more places as you can simply rent a car and drive up to scotland or over to wales!

It simply deplends what you are looking for! lol

good luck! and feel free to contct me if you want to know more about any English stuff :]

  6. Come the UK!!! XD! Then again wherever you will go you'll be welcome! ^^ Im only saying the UK coz im front there, but there are a lot of cool stuff here

  7. defo ireland, nicer people and lots of culture and ya can have the craic nomatter where you are, Oh and BTW sarah f Ireland is NOT part of the UK, hence we dont use the £

  8. Well I've live in England but I've been to Southern Ireland both countrys have got scenery so its up to you. If you decide to come ton England pop in will you.

  9. Ireland is in UK lol, I live in Britain and have never been to Ireland. I think if you want more countryside then go Ireland but if you want shops and stuff go for good old Britain!

    Hope this helps :)

  10. Ireland! I heard the people there are very warm and welcoming. The UK is different story. London is the most expensive city in all of Europe. You might save money traveling to Ireland. Also, the scenery is beautiful there.

  11. Hello Eric.

Okay I am going to start by asking you use the correct terms. Asking should you visit UK or Ireland is like asking should you visit North America or Canada. It's a mix of political titles and geographical.

UK is the United Kingdom of Great Britain (Wales, Scotland and England) and Northern Ireland.

Ireland is an island made up of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

So it is possible to visit the UK and Ireland at the same time by being in say Belfast  (Béal Feirste) or Derry (Doire)

Wherever you end up (Britain or Ireland) I would say the 2 islands are very close and you can easily take in all areas.

  12. IRELAND!

    WERE THE BEST PEOPLE EVER

  13. sarah f ireland is not part of the uk,it depends what your used to Ireland is more laid back england is busier, and more populated. but of course been irish i would say Ireland

  14. "C'ead Mile Failte" (Irish for  - A Hundred Thousand Welcomes)

Ireland is great! i have to travel to the UK for work alot and i HATE it

i do not like the english people they are so self-righteous.

i never feel very safe in the cities of the UK

Ireland has everything you could want and the social life is among the best in the world!!!!

  15. ummm to sarah f

ireland is not in the UK only the 6 counties in the north are but the other 26 counties in the republic aren't,go look up a political map

  16. Have a look at this site especially if you have not heard of AFS.

  17. Why wouldn't you be welcome? What a strange question .... in relation to Ireland, anyway. The two countries are VERY different.

There are now lots of people from other countries who live, work and study in Ireland, and they seem to be getting on alright.

  18. Well i've never personally been to ireland but i hear it's very scenic? But i would definately reccomend coming to England even if it is just for a while to get a taste of it.Students are definately welcome!

  19. I think Ireland is more interesting.. It's more scenic, the food is better, and Dublin is incredibly diverse.  I visited several years ago, would love to go back.

  20. Of course you will be welcome in both Ireland and the UK.Everyone is welcome, just comply with our laws and you are guaranteed the respect that you give in the first instance.

  21. Ireland!!!

Which is NOT in the U.K!!!!!!

  22. ireland is not in the uk dont take advice off her she hasn't a clue ireland is a lovely place and the people are very friendly and welcoming but as in most places u get the odd **** but dont let them ruin ur stay hope u enjoy it

  23. Ireland!! =)

(which, by the way, is not in the uk!)

  24. i think that Ireland would be the best choice, it offers better variety. the scenery is lovely and you should definitely see the burren and giants causeway. Ireland also offers a great night life and cities such as Dublin galway and cork are full of gr8 shops and pubs. if you are visiting i would recommend the south-western counties such as cork kerry and clare because the people down there are great craic!!(if ur gonna visit u'll have to know the word craic, its Irish for fun , but we use it all the time!!!!)

  25. ireland is not in the UK!

  26. Go to the UK, just went to Ireland and people were rude and unwelcoming. They act as though the tourists are a burden, unless they have a B&B, which they are everywhere. Then they are all over you.

  27. Ireland.

  28. Well.Im Irish !!...

If u do decide 2 come ere ..Visit the Burn in Co.Clare !!

  29. Well I'm from Ireland, so I would probably be biased and stuff... Im sorry but I dont know much about the U.K!

Well in Ireland, theres the scenery, tourist sites, pubs and stuff. Theres a great night scene in the large cities like Dublin, but beware, Dublin is very expensive!

You will be welcome, but you probably know that there would be the occassional person who objects, every country has them I'm sure.

    Try discoverireland.ie for more information.

I'm sure someone will give you info on the U.K so you can make up your mind!

    Have Fun! x
