Should I wait or start now?

I'm 12 years old should I wait until 13,16,18,21 or what age to go to audition calls. Should I start now?

Is it smart to go to college for it?

I want to also be a fashion designer. But actresses are also fashion designers some times right?

I've been in 13 plays that I signed up for.

3 school plays.

3 choir concerts.

1 talent show(singing).

Read 6 times at events.

  1. NOW

  2. build up a portfolio

keep all the dates and details of whatever you do,recorded like in a c.v. (profile) together with photographs leaflets, programmes etc.

keep a record of as many people involved as poss

take a note of their name and the job they done eg.director,wardrobe,etc. each show you do .get  the details of as many people involved as poss  and keep it safe for future reference

record EVERYTHING ,your quoirmasters name , your schoolteacher that put on the school play.

, make it seem like a game to get as much details as poss.

, keep  records interesting to yourself keep them in a folder or box cut and stick things on to decorate it.

stop it becoming like a boring job that you dont want to do.

Have fun with all this learning too,!!!

keep on dreaming and chasing your dream ......

      work hard towards getting it,

    have  fun on the way,

Be serious about what you want    '' but''

dont be a'' too serious person'',    nobody really likes them .do.they?

Enjoy all the stuff you do !

    your very lucky !!!!

you can sing and dance and act and read out

some of us can't do any of what you can

    enjoybeing so lucky eh?

be yourself ,be happy ,and the very best  of luck

I have worked as an extra.   while you are at a job,get talking to other people, you find out loads about other jobs or agencies .

generally,if you are friendly ,and  tell people your new to this and would appreciate any help, you will find they will  enjoy helping you ! honest

google all over the place for agencies that will take you (DO NOT PAY ANY AGENCY TO BE ON THEIR BOOKS)  some dodgy so-called agents advertise for people and claim no joining fee, however when you come to talk to them they tell you that they need a photography portfolio to join ? and guess what? they happen to have a photographer on hand to do this for you, Watch out, they will pressurise your mum/dad into buying this for you!!!!!!!!! real good agencies do not expect you to pay anything. EVER,

You can research the acting schools/ colleges if they have scholarships. This means you wont have to pay the very expensive school fees

join your nearest drama shool or club, young people theatre group

if you are around people with the same interests then you will get a load of info from them that will help you tremendously,

    FASHION!!!!!

Fashion should be looked at seperately.....

yes  some actresses have ,their own range/label

they are only taking advantage of their success,

they earn well from producing lines of clothes with their name or perfume

    good on them too,

My daughter is extremelly into fashion and design,

you have to work hard at shool at all your subjects

she is now 17yrs old and will soon be studying further to gain enough exam results to get her entry into Art school or Uni to study fashion,art.design.business.and textiles plus many many more options

You must still work hard for good results in all your subjects because they will count later on ,There are different courses to choose from around fashion but there are always more people that want on these courses than there are places available. SO GOOD EXAM RESULTS WILL ALWAYS BE USEFUL FOR THAT

  3. you should start now.

  4. Going to audition calls takes time, but it never hurts to do it for a year if you have time for it. See what kind of response you get, get a feel for the whole process, the rejections etc. Good luck, sounds like you have your mind made up!

  5. start as soon as possible so you could have more experience and you could be a really good actor and you might be able to be in this big movie

  6. Start as soon as you can. It will take a longgg time, but just go for it if it's your desire. So many actors give up because it's so hard, but remember that rejection WILL happen in this industry. And you will want to give up soooo many times... but with God ANYTHING is possible!! NEVER give up!! Soo many actors have said they've auditioned for about 45 auditions before they finally got a lead. So don't give up. Don't try to start out big, because you can't. Start small. Be extras...participate in college films...take acting classes...be in community plays....then get an agent. But never give up. God bless.

  7. You should start now :) But waiting a couple years wouldn't hurt, if you have other obligations right now.

  8. Start as early as you can
