Should I walk to the pub for a few pints and quiz night, or stay in and open a bottle of wine?

This is a personal preference. I like company myself. If you have the money, choose the pub and the grand company. Otherwise, open a nice bottle of wine and still have a marvelous time at home. You are blessed. Peace!

Well im staying in with a bottle of chardonnay but id much rather be being sociable if I had the choice! Shame but 5 and 12 year olds cant look after themselves :-) Go on bet it starts at 9 o'clock.....mind you you might have to run rather than walk!!

I realize this is not a major earth-shattering decision you have to make, but I learned this little gem years ago that if you try on something like this, when you are in a situation you really need it, it is invaluable.

We all need alone time, one-on-one time, and group time.  When we are the very happiest, it means we are in the one we need at that moment.  Whenever we are in conflict, with one person or with a group (think family), if you think about it, its because we all have different needs.  Recognizing which we need at a particular time and then doing that, is the key to being content and can certainly help in avoiding conflict.  

So that said - you feel like being alone or with a group?  Or maybe you want a one-on-one and there's no one at home.  Then get to the pub.  LOL, you're never really alone when you have a nice bottle of wine.
