  1. get a half cage half visor if you cant decide

  2. Cage all the way. A mouthguard does not protect against teeth getting knocked out, and a visor does not keep your jaw from being broken, or really much of anything. It'll keep the puck out of your eyes, that's about it. Sticks can still get under there, and pucks can still hit the rest of your face.

Unless you're playing pro, there is no reason you should not be wearing a cage of full face protection of some kind. And really, you don't notice the bars when you're wearing it, so that's not an excuse.

  3. I use a full cage whether if playing forward or defence, and as I also play goalie I am so used to it that it doesn't bother me. Last time I took the cage off my player helmet, I got several stitches over the right eye and a broken collarbone.

BladeRunner = I tried one of those 1/2 and 1/2's many years ago (1994 or thereabouts) an Itech Concept shield I think it was called, it was heavy and fogged / scratched up like crazy.

  4. Why does the position you play change what kind of cage you wear? I play both forward and D with a full cage ( and I like the cage!)

  5. I think you answered your own question!!

    Foward    Half-Shield

    Defense     CAGE
