Should I wear black flats with a pink tank top?

I heard somewhere that you shouldn't wear black shoes with a pink top. Is that true?

pink and black go so good together!! {espically hot pink!} if you wanna go for an even bolder look wear a hot pink tank-top, black skirt, and hot-pink of black shoes!!!! {talk about your statements!!!!! LOL}
