Similar questions have been posted, but I wear Acuvue advance for ASTIGMATISM. I think the difference between my contacts and regular contacts is that mine are more fluid and are supposed to rotate on their own when I blink. Anyway, I am going to Six Flags Great Adventure tomorrow. It is my first summer with contacts an it is the first time this summer I am going to Six Flags. This park has Kingda Ka, which is around 120 mph. Is it safe to keep my contacts in and keep my eyes open while riding several roller coasters multiple times tomorrow? Should I bring solution or drop to re-wet the contacts? I refuse to blink during the ride b/c I want to be able to see. Taking them out and putting them in for every ride will not work for the same reason. Should I just wear my glasses (which I usually remove on roller coasters? Remember, IWANT TO BE ABLE TO SEE!

  1. i would bring solution and wear sunglasses to bloch the wind so it doesn't dry out your contacts

  2. you will be fine...I wear mine when I go on the rides...just maybe bring some eye drops along if you feel that your eyes will get a little dry.

  3. I've worn my contacts to the Six Flags around my way a bunch of times and never had any problems.

  4. What I do is wear sunglasses thus shielding your eyes. attatch them to your head, if your wearing a stretchy headyband wear it on top of the ends near your ears. attatch bobby pins etc. Usually they tell you to take sunglasses off

but if you secure them tightly enough i bet you could get away with it. Or if that doesnt work you could use those strings that go around the glasses that keep them on your head. I'm not sure what they are called. Even though they  dont look pretty you could just put them on when you go on a ride.

  5. I would just wear a shirt or pants with large pockets.  When your on the rides just put them in there.

    Has a button or zipper.

  6. I wear contacts (have for 13 years) and I have never had a problem with wearing them on roller coasters, even at Six Flags.  Granted, I do not have astigmatism, but I honestly don't think you should be worried.  Just be prepared: I assume you wear disposable lenses so yes, bring re-wetting drops and also a spare pair of contacts just in case.  I never leave home without either.  Good luck and hope you have fun!

  7. No problenm at all. Just use the refresh plus eye drop. It is really good
