Im going to Dorney Park in PA this summer, and I've always taken off my glasses on the roller coaster rides, but I'm missing out on all the fun. But then again, I do not want to lose my precious Dior frames. lol

note: Contacts are not an option for me.

Let me know what you think!

  1. It's not recommended that you wear them on a rollercoaster- they can fly off your face easily!

Try using contacts or wrap-on glasses or Ortho-K. Ortho-K is a contact lens that you ONLY wear when you sleep- it works by shaping your cornea so that in the morning you can have perfect clear vision in the morning WITHOUT your glasses or contacts and you can do anything you want without missing out on anything. You can try Ortho-K on the night before you go to Dorney park- in the morning you'll have clear vision without worrying about your glasses.

  2. Just get a strap to attach to them in case/when they fly off during the wild and wacky ride.

    Have fun

  3. You can get one of those string things for glasses that goes around your neck too and then you can wear your glasses without losing them. I would just wear them, cause i have glasses too and still go on roller coasters with no problem.

  4. No.. never ever ware your glasses on roller coaster.. The best solution is that to get an contact lenses.. its easier, and you wont miss any fun of the ride and most importantly, your Dior... lol..

    enjoy your time there=)

  5. There are special straps that will hold them snug to your head called sports straps...you should be able to get them at just about any optical store for a few bucks.

  6. i say use them and get a strap thing to secure them

  7. I wouldn't risk wearing them on the ride. I went to a park in Denver this past Tues, and the very first ride I went on, my sunglasses were gone. Keep in mind that they were pretty tight on my head too, sometimes they hurt the sides of my head because they were so tight. But the very first ride, they flew off. I saw alot of other sunglasses laying around that had flown off, too, but I never did find mine. This was on a ride that went upside down....you might be O.K. to wear them on rides that don't go upside down or aren't extremely wild, but it is still risky.

If you really want to wear them on the rides, I would definitely check into those straps that several other people have mentioned.

  8. I always remove mine and get a locker so I can be sure they're in a safe place when I am on the ride. There's not much for me to see when I am on the ride anyway,so I don't feel I am missing anything!

  9. they will fly off pretty quickly

  10. i would not take a chance. too risky
