I am nearsighted, and I was wondering: all though distances up close are OK, do you think I should wear my glasses all the time? I have no problem with this, and even when I do where my glasses, I can see close object 200% better than normal, because things are a little blurry when moderately close.

  1. Glasses are made to give you visual comfort. So when you want to see clearer, wear them...if at times you feel you don't need them, then don't wear them.

It makes no difference to your eyes whether you wear them or not , it's just a matter of seeing better when you want to.

Your eyes won't get any better or worse because of the glasses if you wear them or not.

  2. Dear Tyler,

I think its better you wear glasses all the time if you are nearsighted. After sometime it will come to normal and you dont have to wear any more. Most of the people who are shortsighted had cured now they can see without glasses.Just use it for sometime. You can remove them when you read or watch TV.Good luck.

  3. NO!

    I'm nearsighted.

And i wore mine all the time and it made my eyes worse

  4. yes,

  5. Up until around age 40 or so, nearsighted people can keep their glasses on all the time. Your eyes will accomodate at near so you don't have to take them on and off constantly.

At some point you will find you have to hold your print out further and further, the first sign that you may have begun to lose accomodation and need reading correction as well. Rest assured that your eyes will not get worse by not wearing them. They are going to change whether you wear them or not.
