To best avoid getting snow inside while skiing or snowboarding, is it better to cinch the ski glove over the outside of the jacket sleeve, or better to cinch the jacket sleeve over the outside of the glove?

  1. The layers of clothing are covered from one to another. If you put the jacket on first, then the glove will go over the jacket sleeve.  The best way to avoid getting snow in the glove is to keep them out of the snow, ie  DO NOT FALL.

  2. Many ski jackets have nice velcro tighteners which tighten very well over the gloves.  Unless you've got large cuff gloves its pretty hard to tuck the jacket well enough into the glove and you get gapping.

  3. under so les snow goes down your gloves

  4. it all depends on what type of glove you have it should have said when you bought it if it was an over or under glove. the way to check though is this;   if it is very loose at the top and has a draw string it means that you are soposed to tuck your coat in under that part.   but if it can get very tight at the top and has some kind of velcrow that you can use to make it tight at the wrist then you put your coat over it.  good luck

  5. I wear my gloves over the cuff but I also wear a columbia system glove liner(love those things) so don't worry too much about snow getting into the glove

I always seem to be taking my gloves off to get into a pocket or get something out of my f***y pack so I find it easier to cinch the powder strap of the glove over the cuff of my jacket sleeve
