Ok here is my life, I have 3 jobs I'm in a school for insurance and a school for an associates degree. I have a dog named Dexter and a bearded dragon named Maxwell, my biggest goal in life has been to see the world. i love being a hairstylist i've done it since I was 16. I live alone and my lease is up in 6 months so i think i want to work on a cruise ship for 4 months, Should I>? Is it bad to leave my life here for 4 months>?

  1. hey 36, is that your zip code?

anyway, I've done ships for 10 years and loved it.

I did reception for Carnival for a few years and then shops with both Hardings and Starboard, which are shop concessions on 90% of the ships afloat.

Hardings (www.hardingbros.co.uk) has spas as well.

the other big concession for spas is steiner's of london

When I left starboard, about a year ago my dog got sick and I was offered a very good position with Royal Caribbean but couln't leave her...  she died last november and I'm beginning to think im too old for ships, but im 42.

Also, during the time I was on ships I have my parents to take care of my dogs...

what do you plan to do with your Dexter and Maxwell?

is there people to look after them?

keep in mind the contracts are 6 months long usually, and they do get extended from time to time.

Also, in some ships that have no formal nights spa people dont make much.

    good luck

  2. No. You won't even make enough money to rent an appartment.
