Should I write a cover letter?

Im sending in my head shot and resume to audition for the role of Macy on J.O.N.A.S, and the site says send in resume and head shot. Nothing about a cover letter.

but should i send in a cover letter with it anyways?

Well,you better hurry up because deadline is August 23rd.I'm sending mine in as soon as my head shots are printed.As for the cover letter,if you're going to write one,you might as well make it short and straight to the point.Best of luck(:

I sent for the audition for macy, and dont do it because there wil be alot of letters that they will get and they are just going to scan through the info people have gave them, therefor they are not going to read everything word for word, so a cover letter is really a waste of time for them and you, they only want to know your experience and headshot really, if they are interested in what they read they will call you, really trust me, dont do it, only in jobs like stores and things when they have time, the acting world, is a rush to get the right person. im not trying to discourage you but there are thousands of other girls trying to audition so dont get you're hopes up to much

I don't think so, because if they wanted one, they would ask for it. Seriously, they're getting a WHOLE bunch of resume's and head shot's, they don't want to have to read a cover letter why you think you would be best for the part. The resume and head shot basically cover everything, they see you and if you'll fit the part, and they see your experience on your resume. Plus it has your sizes and everything on your resume, sometimes even on your head shot.
