  1. Definitely we should go ahead with the deal and i guess the reasons given above are quite enough...

I Hope the NSG issue gets sorted and we get to sign this Deal..

  2. yes ... definitely

  3. Yes.

India has to raise its power generation by 70,000 MW over the next 10 to 15 years to ensure overall development of the economy. Even though we have huge coal reserves, we have to look for cleaner alternatives like Nuclear power and natural gas. We will also have to reduce our dependence on imported oil as the reserves are limited and prices of crude oil are sky rocketing.

We have to sign the nuclear deal with America so that we can get access to nuclear fuel, technology and funds.

Left parties are opposing the deal to protect its vote bank in Bengal & Kerala. This opposition will have to be ignored in the overall interest of the nation as a whole.

Our indigenous nuclear energy program has not made much progress due to denial of access to latest technologies and assured sources of Uranium. The calculation of cost is better left to economists and project managers rather than scientists.

Once we get access to new technologies, our scientists will have to develop their research on Thorium as the only fuel so that we can avoid dependence of imported Uranium.

  4. Yes, definitely. We need the uranium for power generation and there is no other way of getting it

  5. in my opinion ...answer  should be NO........

  6. yes, no doubt about it.  Now,  a revised version of the draft waiver that the united states circulated to the nuclear suppliers group last month  was handedover to india on Thursday and was still being studied by a team of indian officials till late friday evening. while the Bush administration is keen to secure NSG clearance next week and send the 123 agreement for congressional approval on september 8, indian officials say their own principal priority is not speed but ensuring the soundness of the draft waiver.  Moreover, the group of six likeminded nations Austria, ireland, the netherlands, norway, new zealand and switzerland may be flexible at NSG.  Hence, india sign a nuclear deal with America with a revised NSG draft.

  7. nuclear deal-what's wrong with it?

when something can strengthen a country, why to let it go!

some people are against the developement, so they have problems.

they cant see india growing and become one of developed nations.

the economical situation wont get worse. none of the counrties oppose it.  then why the people of the same nation oppose it?

  8. yes ofcourse as it is beneficial for both the countries.............INDIA should just go for it.........................
