Should Jake Delhomme play in Preseason?

Question

As much as I like Jake I dont think he should play in Preseason the last thing the panthers want to do is make him injure his elbow again in just meaningless games. The Panthers have three other QBs that they can use

# 3 Matt Moore

# 14 Brett Basanez

# 8 Lester Ricard

Well, I think he should play one series, AT LEAST. You have to see him in some type of "game situation" to gauge his recovery from the injury, how crisp his throws look, and how he works with the offense that he hasn't been behind for abotu a season. But that's all I would give him. 1 series and in the 4th game, he gets the bench.

I think the entire squad should sit out through the pre-season.  Every year John Fox comes out in pre-season on fire and gets numerous key starters hurt and then regular season suffers because of their injuries.  I do agree that Jake should play a little though.
