They are so very annoying on a peaceful lake. The operators feel they can go anywhere, including amongst swimmers, around fisherman, etc. Plus they are extremely noisy.

  1. the age is 16 in Arizona and Nevada and California.

if that keeps happening, like if they drive near swimmers, you should call the cops,  because that's a safety violation.

but then again, Jetski's and boats have the right-a-way....swimmers shouldn't be out too far.

if they are, then they need those orange flags...so its not always the jetskiers fault.

I was on a seadoo at 14...I'm 15 now, and my parents know I could handle it.

Like the second or first comment, they say they wont let their kids drive until they are 16.

you don't see how dangerous that is?

If you make them wait, they are bound to go crazy, cuz its not something they are used to doing. If you start them at an early age, then they can handle it more and they know what they're doing.

but yea, if these kids are out of control, then you should call the river cops, see what he thinks.  If what they are doing is alright and acceptable, or if its just you over reacting.

  2. Yes. I would not let my kids ride one until they were 16.

  3. Where I live they do have a minimum age requirement.  They must have a valid drivers license to operate a jet ski or sea doo.
