  1. YES!! But they can't.

Most MLS teams play on either a NFL or college football team's field. So they play soccer during footballs off season. Sucks.

  2. They should so international caps won't conflict.

  3. NO! they would get owned by the NFL, NBA, NHL, etc. summer works ok because their only competition is baseball. plus try playing in columbus in december.

  4. I wish. In Houston, a January game would be much more comfortable than a July game!

  5. Here's a way to cut back on teams' ridiculously grueling travel woes:

Split the MLS into 2 leagues, one a summer (southwest, west coast) and one winter (midwest and east coast).

Certain players could even play year-round, and thereby make more money. And 1 team could play in both leagues (e.g. LA/Charlotte Galaxy).

  6. NO...Soccer and the MLS is growing.  Most people won't bother checking out a game if it was the middle of the winter...Keep in mind Europe doesn't deal with as much snow...they have a lot of rain.  Which is a big issue in: New England, New York, Philadelphia, Columbus, Chicago, Colorado, Kansas City, Salt Lake City, Seattle and Toronto.  Keep in mind that Montreal, Vancouver, Portland, St. Louis are cities that MLS is considering for expansion.  Too many cities that deal with snow.  I know I would rather go to a game in July than one in January!!!!!

Keep in mind that MLS only competition is MLB and the WNBA in the summer season.  A winter season would have the MLS battling for TV ratings against: NFL, NBA, NHL, NCAA Football and NCAA Basketball.  That would not be smart for business!!!!!

  7. no

that would be during american football season

  8. no. thats stupid. why does everyone keep talking about europe stuff like it is always better. summer makes more sense in america, even though the season gets messed up by international caps sometimes. and for that matter, relagation is just a trick to get away with not having league parity.
