Susan Atkins was convicted of the murder of Sharon Tate 1969. She is 59 years old and terminally-ill. She is being considered for a "compassionate release" since she has less than 6 months to live.

'Sharon was stabbed sixteen times in the back and chest. As Sharon was being stabbed, she reportedly begged the murderers to spare the life of her unborn child. But her pleas were met with only cold, calloused hatred as Atkins would scream back to her, "I don't care about you or your baby." '

Should the compassion that Susan showed to Sharon Tate and her unborn (FULLY FORMED READY TO BE BORN 8.5 month) Baby? The article above doesn't mention that Sharon was also stabbed in the womb.

I say let her die in prison. What do you think?

  1. No!! Her victim(s) didn't have a chance to die in peace with family. She stole that from Sharon and her baby and should not be given that chance. That is a spit in the face of the victim(s) family and the victim(s)  R.I.P.

She should be ashamed of herself for even thinking she deserves that, even after all these years and perhaps forgiveness. A crime like that needs to be paid IN FULL.

  2. I wish for her to die a painful, protracted and slow death , she should then be cremated  and her ashes flushed down a toilet

  3. She should die from AIDS. She should die ala Wrath of Kahn, with an earwig eating through her very small brain. Murdering cu*t

  4. Maybe if she dies in a hospital, but I don't think she should be allowed to walk the streets.

  5. It's too bad they couldn't have fried or zapped that (bleep) years ago. She can die in prison.

  6. Sadie Mae Glutz has been shown enough compassion . She stays locked up . She's still a sadistic blood-thirsty individual who took enjoyment in the suffering of murder victims she helped slaughter . She gives wild animals a bad name .

  7. She is no threat to anyone at this point.  Why not let her out?

  8. F*ck her.

  9. Her past crimes are horrible and unforgivable, to say the very least. Although I doubt she is any threat to society at this point, and also believe that if she is released from prison that not only will she not have the desire to murder again (or physically harm anyone), she will also lack the physical capability... Nevertheless, she commited the pre-meditated cold-blooded brutal cruel heartless murder of a pregnant woman, therefore, no matter what her circumstances are, she deserves her legal punishment, and she deserves NO mercy. She was originally sentenced to die, only to have her sentence lightened to life in prison with the possibility of parole (pretty crazy). She needs to pay her debt to society, as she was sentenced to life, she must spend her life through the torment of prison, and her debt will be paid when she dies, right after the moment she takes her final breath, IN PRISON. The best she can hope for is that God has mercy on her soul.

  10. Instinctively i feel like killing her right now.  Though we as humans are trying to become more civilized doing what i said would just lead us down a angry road.  Were paying lots of money just to keep her in jail, and she might not do anything murderous during her last few months.  so maybe if it will be alright.

  11. She deserves no mercy. Wasn't she the one who told Sharon Tate "I have no mercy for you"?

  12. I say let her die in prison. I can usually find a tiny bit of  compassion for even murderers, but somehow for Susan Atkins I find none. She deserves to suffer a little bit for what she did to Sharon Tate and her family.

I can only imagine how her family must have felt and continues  to feel. I did not know Sharon Tate, but I remember when the Manson murders happened even though I was a kid and it affected me.

I have 2 children and I can't bear to think of the agony she must have gone through as she died, knowing her baby was being murdered too.

Susan Atkins wants compassion because she has less than 6 months to live, well I think she's been shown lots of compassion in her life:

-Her death penalty was changed to life when laws changed

-Lived a good life in prison

-No one  killed her in prison

    -Married her attorney

-Has many people that support her

-Accomplished many of her personal goals while in prison

-Brain cancer taking her in 6 months

Sounds to me like society and the universe has given her lots of compassion.

  13. Let her rot in jail.

  14. There has been considerable dispute as to who actually stabbed Sharon Tate. Some accounts say that Susan never actually stabbed her but held her down while Charles "Tex" Watson committed the actual murder. Then there are others that say that none of the three participants in the killings wanted to take sole responsibility for killing a pregnant woman so they all took turns stabbing her. Even so, Susan Atkins has changed her story repeatedly over the years but the fact remains that she was there the first night of the murdrers, did participate in them (she stabbed a male victim in the legs while fighting with him), made no attempt to stop them, laughed at the victims, and bragged about her participation. Even if she didn't actually kill any of the victims that night, she did help kill musician Gary Hinman a few weeks earlier and even tried to sew his ear back on after it was cut off. She does not deserve any mercy.

  15. i say they should have killed her long before now...

  16. She should complete her sentence...LIFE in prison...meaning in prison until you die.  Other notorious inmates have passed on while in prison without the possibility of being released early to die at home with their families.  Sharon certainly did not have that option.
