Should Mark David Chapman die in prison

I think so! I still think of that day as "the day the music died". TIME magazine said, "The year started with Who shot J.R. ? & ended with Why in the world would anyone shoot John Lennon?".

I think that if he killed another person other than John Lennon he probably would have been let go today, so for that reason I don't think that he should die in prison. What he did was horrible and definitely unforgivable but we shouldn't make him serve a longer sentence than someone doing time for the same crime because he killed an icon. It would be different if it was a head of state of a political figure.

he is currently in a mental health facility which is where he belongs. he is clearly deranged. after all he had a clear shot at yoko but killed lennon.

my mistake, he is in prison. that is a travesty. he is a clearly mentally ill and had previously spent time in such facilities. how the prison system can reason that he was cured between the time he was released and the time he shot lennon can not be justified.

Mark David Chapman should have been executed years ago for his violent crime.

Too bad he didn't get Yoko at the same time...The no talent Japanese tart, broke up the Beatles and alienated John from his fans....

He is not in a mental health facility, but is in a separate unit at Attica.  

He would continue to be a danger to Yoko and her family.  He should stay there the rest of his life.

He should have died years ago, but he though Lennon was crazy and needed to die when he shot him. In fact there was a couple million of us that thought Lennon was nuts, but we wouldn't have shot him.

We could never figure why someone that could have, (and probably did) all the beautiful women he could shake his stick at, and he picked that ugly s***k that didn't look any better even when she removed her clothes.
