Should Media focus more on human tragedy than Britney?

People are dying left and right from hunger, lack of medicines and drinking water in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Govt does not have enough resources or money to provide relief to the flood victims. 19 million people are displaced and without food, medicines, drinking water and shelters and most of these people live in less than US$1/day. This is a human tragedy in modern era. This news was not out there because lack of media interest. As a human being, we have moral duty to help the needy regardless of any country.

Bangladeshi Americans are working hard to raise money for the flood victims. You can donate at www.changebangladesh.com for these flood victims.

I will urge every individual please be generous and help those flood victims now regardless where we live.

Thanks,

M. M. Chowdhury, USA

  1. Less Britney, more Lohan.  I'm sorry, but Britney is a dog and I really don't want to see her do anything.  I could watch Lohan all day though. Wait, what was this question about?

  2. yes but remember Brittany is a human tragedy.

  3. Television is based on advertising space.  The rates television stations charge for advertising space is in direct proportion to their viewership.  What gets reported today gets people to turn on their televisions.

Furthermore, television is not a repository for knowledge, it's a form of entertainment.  Why has most of America forgotten this?

  4. Brittany is a human tragedy.  And by the way M. M. you seemed fascinated with American white girls.  What's going on old buddy?

  5. Follow the money.

  6. I don't know anyone who cares about ANY of the "super stars" or new and different ways to turn someone on - - the world has become DANGEROUSLY apathetic and VERY selfish.  We have allowed ourselves to be ruled by all the evils man created, and have lost sight of COMPASSION.

I give generously to a few charities now, but I will be visiting your website later today - thank you for the lead AND the reminder -

  7. Sadly, the media only puts focus on these celebs, becuase at the end of the day its all down to money money money with those greedy celebs and media.

I am so horrified to hear about Bangladesh, this is an area that indeed needs support and aid, yet people are more interested in Brad Pitts relationship collapsing.

I have boycotted SkyNews ever since I saw BREAKING NEWS! BREAKING NEWS! TOM CRUISE HAS TURNED UP FOR HIS OWN WEDDING! And a small caption below it mentioning hundreds of people killed in a mudslide.

People are being brainwashed by media, its really sad. The world should get together when a tragedy occurs like Bangladesh but as usual glitz, glam, riches and famous peoples lives are more important then the devestation of our species.

    For Shame.
