Should Mexico give the Guatemalans amnesty so they can move to Mexico for a better life?

Of course! Mexico should extend amnesty to Guatemalans and all other immigrants in Mexico, just like the US should extend amnesty to all immigrants in the US. I think that Mexico should have the courage to be the first one and stand up for what's right. President Felipe Calderon has already taken some steps in this direction and the Mexican Senate and Congress decriminalized being in Mexico without papers this year.

When will America and it's people embrace its history and openness to others and allow people to travel freely without fear and repression? People from both countries need to stand up to racism, misunderstanding, hate, ignorance and the politics which espouse them and take a stand for humanity. That which unites us is greater than that which divides us, including any walls or fences put up by governments.
